The room was excellent and the location is great. It is kind of a self-serve model however. Check-in is via a qr code and there aren't any additional amenities. Access to the hotel and rooms are via a passcode given at registration. The room was clean and finished nicely. Just don't expect any add-ons. Not really an issue for me and access to the train is really convenient for hopping over to Manhattan or walk a little bit to Long Island City and there are plenty of restaurants.

I was excited to stay at the Dutch Hotel in Long Island. Unfortunately, the night before my trip, I severely sprained my ankle and ended up in the emergency room at 2 a.m., just seven hours before my flight from Los Angeles to New York. I contacted Hotels.com platform immediately and provided documentation regarding the situation, hoping the hotel might offer some flexibility or a future stay credit. Unfortunately, my request was denied, which was disappointing given the circumstances. While I cannot comment on the hotel accommodations themselves, I do wish there had been more understanding and compassion regarding the situation. A very unfortunate experience overall.
