InterContinental Boston

Our stay at the InterContinental was everything that my husband and I needed to refresh ourselves from a long and stressful year. The room was super clean and cozy. Not small-cozy but comfortable-cozy. We were able to leave the stresses of our daily lives behind, relax, enjoy each other’s company, have some take out delivered and most importantly, get some much needed sleep!

The hotel and restaurant staff were so wonderful. Unfortunately I was booked in an adjacent room to a bachelorette party. Odd that with things operating at lower volume that I would be right next to people. Wonderful hotel and staff tho.

Nothing was as described. Reserved, for a very special occasion, city view king bed and was given a view of a brick wall and two Queen beds. Described my issues with the hotel, after I called to confirm the details of my room, and they kept putting the blame on hotels.com for misrepresenting the room. Was told there’s nothing they can do for that night and that they can accommodate me at a later time, we’ll see if my review changes at that point

Wow! 5 star quality

The water bottles they provide are not clean. They had people off the street hanging out in the main lobby who were not hotel guests who were loud. Not 5 star caliber like it lists on hotels.com. Guests were also loud and aggressive towards me when I asked front desk for another room away from their in room party. I had to call 911. Then they backed off. I was not making a direct compliant, they just started yelling and making a scene while I was telling the front desk about the noise. Embarrassing. The. Whole thing was horrible. Its not worth the money to stay here.

The bartenders were so welcoming and made me remember what I love about travel. Got patrons talking (even while distanced) and made a damn good drink too.

Upon entering the hotel you are greeted with this luxurious main room for check in that leads to the hotels restaurant/bar/cafe area. Check in was quick even though there was a small line. As for the rooms, they were very clean and well kept. They provide towels, toiletries and soap/shower necessities in the bathrooms. The TV is fairly big and swings out to direct to the bed. I had paid for a room with a view and the view was a bit lackluster. That was my only true complaint during my stay at the Intercontinental. The bed was comfortable (But could’ve been more comfy. The mattress isn’t memory foam comfy, but the comforter makes up for where the mattress lacks comfort so it was alright.) Another thing that I noted was that there was no mini-fridge in the room. The wine cooler that was there had no use to us since it appeared to be disconnected and locked of some sorts. I was originally looking forward to the 5-star quality of the hotel but in my own personal opinion after staying for the weekend I wouldn’t give it the full five.
