The bed in room 9 was the best bed I have ever slept on in a motel. Nice quiet room.

Provided exactly what we were after— proximity to Mt. Rainier, clean comfortable room. No TV, but we didn’t need one. Quick walk to restaurant and grocery store, both open til 9 on a Sunday night. Great vibe all around!

The bed was really comfy and nice sheets. I'm picky about sheets.
Molly, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Basic, clean rooms with basic amenities provided in an older, established and maintained lodging. Pool was under repair, no tv service during stay. Nice "backyard" covered area with potential for outdoor gatherings. With A/C on, white noise for any highway traffic where this lodging is located on. Security latch is old school - almost locked myself in - ha! Easy walking distance of multiple dining locations recommended by the front desk. It was also quiet - whether due to the holiday or neighboring (but not nearby) wildfire.

We had a great stay at Packwood Inn and really loved the location—it’s conveniently close to a grocery store. Our room had 2 queen beds and a kitchen, which was perfect for our trip. Having the kitchen was a huge plus since we were able to cook our own meals and prep food for our hike to Mount Rainier. The only downsides were that the kitchen faucet water pressure was quite weak and the washroom had a bit of a strange smell. Other than that, everything else worked well for us. Overall, I’d recommend this place if you’re looking for a budget-friendly stay with the bonus of having a kitchen, especially if you’re planning a hiking trip to Mount Rainier.

I thought it was safe, the parking was great. Staff was friendly gray area for the dog, I would definitely go again, we like going to Packwood all the time but we don’t always stay there, but if we do, I will go there thank you to all the staff .

Great little lodge in the the downtown area of Packwood, walkable to the restaurants and shops, and near Mt Rainier park. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The Inn itself is older, but is clean, with good wifi. It is currently being refurbished, so some amenities, such as the pool and TVs, may not be currently available.

Completely adequate; nice staff

The Packwood Inn was completely adequate for our purposes which was mainly a hot shower, soft clean bed, and our dog welcome. Room 18's shower faucet needs some help. We were warned the TV didn't work which suits us. Though fully occupied it was quiet. Special treat; Elk came to visit the back lot.

We stayed here for two days. The property is a bit dated, and you get what you pay for — we booked last minute when few other options were available. That said, the staff were very helpful and friendly, which made the stay more comfortable. The surrounding area has some overgrown vegetation, but the location is a plus — close to the city center and near a few dining spots, though options are somewhat limited.

No tv, no cloth hangers. A bit crowded room. But it functions for us, a super tired guest everyday in the Mt. area . Very friendly front lady. Few local restaurants, very busy.

Great place to stay with the family when visiting rainier.
Bhaskar, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

The staff was really friendly and great but the property was run down. It seemed like the new manager was planning on over hauling the place but it was very over priced for the condition it was in. No TV, mattress was soft, pulll out bed in suite was broken.
Karen, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

This property is outdated. However, the beds are very comfortable the air conditioning keeps the place cool and it in the middle of nowhere so it definitely beats a tent and mosquitoes. I would have gave it 5 stars, but we needed the pool because we were traveling with kids and the pool wasn’t open. No one told us that. The front desk was extremely accommodating and put our families rooms next to each other. The showers have great water pressure.
Maranda, 1-night trip

Basic motel, but would stay again

The front desk staff was kind and quick to help when we needed it. There was an issue with our room key upon check in, and they explained to us that the hotel has been closed and recently reopened after some renovations. They are still renovating, so the pool was under construction. We got an “original” room, so it was definitely in need of an upgrade, but was clean and functional. The bed was very comfortable, though, the pillows are awful! The hotel is just off the main road (as are most hotels), so it can be loud when trucks and motorcycles go by. The cable was out, but the internet was working well. The hotel was within walking distance to many restaurants.

Great place to stay

I loved staying here. Staff were friendly and helpful. My room was spacious and comfortable; it was clean, I felt safe, it was quiet, and yes, I would stay here again. It actually has a mountain view of Mt Rainier.

I was happy with my stay. The property is older but the bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. Check in was quick and easy. I would stay there again.

Great home base to visit Mt Rainier, since you can see Mt Rainier from the motel, you can decide whether or not it's worth it to go up the mountain based on cloud condition.
