Ok, so please bear with me as I rarely post negative reviews of anywhere or anything, and I’m not someone who’s picky and always complains.
However, this was supposed to be a break for my wife and I to relax and recharge the batteries. What is was, was a complete disaster. We arrive after a late night flight, and headed straight to bed around 2:30am. At 7:30am we were awoke by the sound of a kango that felt like it was next door (it was). First picture is the view from our room.
I went down to reception, and asked to be moved, offered to pay for any upgrade of room type ( sea view etc) as this wasn’t going to be suitable for us.
This is where my real issue with the Hotel and its staff is. I was met with both a rude and arrogance I’ve not encountered before from hotel staff (I travel a lot for work). There was apparently no available rooms. I wasn’t surprised as I suspected I wasn’t the only one complaining. I was told to call down the following morning before breakfast to check if any availability opened up.
Repeat this for the next two mornings.
Finally my patience snapped and I contacted Hotels.com. They tried to assist, to get a room change. No success.
By then if was Thursday and the only Hotels we could relocate to were either eye wateringly expensive or not very nice.
Sorry for the long post, but I want to warn anyone thinking of booking this hotel to be aware, as there was nowhere on any site that mentioned the construction.
