La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Stillwater-University Area

We were here for a college visit and stayed at the La Quinta. Overall I think it was a pleasant stay and we were quite happy. Good price!

Very clean and comfortable accommodations

The shower head had a serious leak and shot water backwards against the wall. That pressure was higher than what came out the front. And the tub didn't drain so by the end of the shower the water was over the top of my feet. We had two bottles of conditioner but no shampoo.

Room was supposed to be handicap accessible. Did not have a tall toilet and did not have a roll in shower. Did not have the breakfast advertised. Will not stay in that hotel again.

We were displaced from our home due to a storm. The staff was excellent. However, there is absolutely no noise insulation from the hallway. There were teens and children running up and down the hallway until 1am slamming doors, knocking on people’s doors, and yelling. It was impossible to sleep at all. So we cancelled the rest of our stay and moved to a different hotel.

This is as a nice, clean, quiet hotel great for our weekend stay with an event in the area.

The staff was kind and helpful. The hotel was in a safe area close to my destination. However, the room was right next to an elevator and very noisy. There were 6 pillows in the room and I didn't use any of them because there was a lot of hair on the pillows that didn't belong to me. The carpet had stains on it. Just very outdated and didn't feel clean. I will not stay here again.

Loved the proximity to OSU, the kind hospitality and unexpected upgrade too! Breakfast and in suite coffee!

My biggest complaint is noise. The walls, floors and ceilings transfer a ton of noise, expected on a $40 room but not $100. The people above sounded like elephants walking around, all sorts of noise through the walls, doors slamming, people knocking on doors all night. No way to fix that. One thing you can fix: the sheets were worn thin with little balls, maybe from lots of bleaching due to COVID? The parking lot light was out above my truck, making it kind of dark. On the positive side, the cleaning staff does an excellent job, not only in the rooms but inside the halls, lobby, outside and everywhere. Good marks on that but not enough to keep me from going back to the Holiday Inn down the street next time.

The hotel is looking a little dingy. Noticeable carpet stains in halls and in the room itself. Doors were scuffed up, holes in the hall ceiling (from repairs?) Previous guest left items in the refrigerator, leaving me to wonder whether cleaning routines were up to snuff (and this during COVID times.) Despite signage requesting masks, not all guests wore them. AC was loud, but when it wasn't running, we could easily hear our neighbors.
