Superbude Altona Paradise

Location good for business, not so good if you are a tourist. Hotel is fun, well looked after and more interesting to stay in than the chain business hotels.

Excellent on all fronts. Fantastic location. Has everything close at hand. Walking distance to trains, buses, bistro, bakery, supermarkets, Great service, bicycles to hire, clean/comfy. Only thing is the wifi is slow.

Short stay but the hotel was clean and staff very helpful. My only gripe was the lack of iron in the room but seems to be fairly normal for the area. I’m sure if if requested one it would have been provided but I arrived late at 2300 and left early at 0700 the next morning. Travelling for business so looking smart is a requirement.

This is was second stay in this hotel, but the first together with my wife, and it did not disappoint. The place was being refurbished which meant that the main entrance was out of order, as was restaurant, but they did not let this be any real inconvenience as they used a side door and access to their sister hotel just a tiny hop along the same complex. The room was spotless, the tv, lights and everything worked as you would expect and the bed was very comfortable. My own slight niggle was that the show cubicle is a bit smaller than I would have liked, which combined with the location of the extractor fan meant that the shower curtain was too close to me and occasionally got stuck to me. Overall I really like this hotel, the small discomforts do not detract from the overall enjoyment of the place, the staff are all super friendly and seem to speak several languages fluently ( great for a non Germanic speaker like me ) and I would not hesitate to book the next time I return to Hamburg.

Fantastic retro/lounge style hotel with excellent breakfast, and very large rooms. Placed in walking distance of both Barclaycard Arena and City center, if you are well on your feet. (5 km i both directions approx) as the Hotel is right in the middle of these two locations. We will definately stay there again anytime.

Hotel itself is okay however be aware that the majority of rooms don’t have air conditioning, even the XL ones. I stayed and it was 35degrees and impossible to sleep, ended up having to downgrade to get AC and the hotel staff were in no way apologetic nor offered any sort of compensation despite the ‘forced’ downgrade. Some rooms also have a very strange layout with a separate toilet by the entrance, makes no sense at all!

Fint lille Hotel , kunne parkerer lige udenfor . Fik en velkomst øl ved check in , dejlig lille detalje Værelset var virkelig fint og især sengetøjet var super dejligt . Det ligger i et hyggeligt kvarter og der er 2 min til en dejlig Indisk resturent og der er en Burger bar lige udenfor døren hvor man kan sidde ude. Det eneste der manglede var en mulighed for Kaffe og Te på værelset .

Zimmer entsprach genau unseren Erwartungen und Ansprüchen (2 Erwachsene, 2 Kinder).

Das WLAN hat im ganzen Hotel nicht funktioniert. Der Heizkörper im Bad ist winzig und konnte die Temperatur nicht beeinflussen. Ist im Sommer sicher kein Problem, aber im November war es doch sehr unangenehm. Die Fliesen waren natürlich auch eiskalt. Duschen war keine Freunde. Das Personal ist sehr nett und die Lage ist gut. Man ist schnell mit der S1 in der Stadt. Am Hotel gibt es Parkplätze, die natürlich nicht für Alle reichen. Aber in ca. 100 m Entfernung gibt es ausreichend Platz zum parken.
