If you like camping or long hikes, you probably would like staying here. We are very comfortable in a very nice hotel, this is not at all like them. Take out the amenities(A/C,heating, coffee pot, TV and plumbing) and this cabin would fit right in the 1850's. Those amenities do make it though. It's built just the way they were back then. It was comfortable and nicely decorated with furniture that fits the experience and the loft and fireplace were an added pluses.
The owners were responsive to any problems. Had a couple minor ones and the owners were there in minutes. Could never say that for any other hotel we've stayed in. We were very comfortable and liked the heck out of the stay. This is not for everyone, but we think its worth a try. Well water is on tap and the owers realize most people don't like the taste(people tend to like steril, mineralless city or bottled water-remember those water commercials!) so the provide a new gallon of botttled water next to the coffee maker, although there is nothing wrong with well water. We've grown up on it. Check-in is as unique as one can get and so are the llamas!
Everything about this rates it as a four star stay.
