This is an incredible piece of history, and we truly enjoyed our time staying in this early 1700s home and inn. The current owner, Justin, is a truly genuine person who wants to give his guests a wonderful experience, while also preserving the incredible history of this building, the family that owned it, and the surrounding area, all while putting it in the context of the historical setting of the time. While this home has some of the quirks of an over 300 year old home (don’t expect a Marriott), it was one of the most enjoyable places we’ve ever stayed. Beautiful grounds and incredible history! Anyone wanting a charming stay and to experience a true piece of history, will love this early 1700s bed and breakfast and the stories of the family that built it!

This unique historic property was a delight to visit. Justin our host was incredibly passionate about the history of the house and the area. He was also very welcoming and cooked an incredible breakfast. If you are interested in Massachusetts and/or early American history and want a stay with a difference I would thoroughly recommend Josiah Keith House.

A 300 year old inn that was super tranquil and interesting! Justin and Neville (a wonderfully behaved and affectionate miniature boxer) were wonderful hosts in this living piece of New England history. Modern amenities are modern plumbing and fast Internet! Breakfast is killer, and the conversation and chill vibes were icing on the cake. Had a great time!

I was pleasantly surprised at the authenticity of the building and decor of the 18th century era. The owner puts great effort into making it an enjoyable experience. As a history fan this place surpassed my expectations. The breakfast was wonderful too!

Staying at the Josiah Keith house feels like getting to visit distant relatives in their own home back in time. at the Keith, you’re encouraged to lounge downstairs in an early 18th century house. It’s also a museum where historically accurate restoration is their main concern. the house has lots of furnishings and artifacts that were original to the house. some things are still being worked on just like an uncle or a cousins house would be. here that’s part of the charm that you are let into the intimacy of daily life with your relatives. the upstairs bedrooms share a bathroom which for us was fine. the breakfast prepared with love by the innkeeper with real culinary experience and apparently skill. It’s a wonderful gift to all of us when history can be made this accessible to so many. we enjoyed ourselves.

Nice change of pace

A great change of pace from the usual hotels/motels on hotels.com. An historic home with real character as opposed to the frills of a more modern place. Justin is very knowledgable about the place he owns/runs and has made a real effort in furnishing it with memorabilia connected the home's history. A pleasure talking with him and he cooked up a delicious (much needed) hearty breakfast.

This is a unique 300 year old property with its own unique history and furnishings. I loved my stay there. The owner was very kind and did his best to make sure that all guests were well taken care of. He is very knowledgeable of the inn and the local area's history. I stayed only one night but would have loved to stay longer.

Loved the fact they keep as much as possible to original home Made us feel at home I'm a introvert and felt welcome and other guests engaging we all enjoyed atmosphere Only suggestion a better mattresses even an overlay of memory foam would make a huge difference but definitely would go back. He even helped us get easily to Gillette and back with his recommendation
