Vila Nova Guesthouse

I had a single room which may not be typical in size. I found it had to operate in the bathroom. The mattress was not comfortable. The area was the business district but with walking or the gray line bus the sights could be accessed. I was charged 6 euros more than quoted with no explanation.

Great stay at Vila Nova. Great location, place was quiet and clean. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Expected better from the room...this was the standard room. We had booked a better room for the first night which was a much better room but it was a lot more expensive...for the less expensive i didn't expect the shower room to the so narrow and tiny and the room did not look very clean...it was spacious enough but was a bit disappointing comparing with the first room...location was fine lots nearby and safe...but if you dont like to catch the metro or walk for 15mins to get more central then stay in avenida da liberdade closer to rossio

Great clean temperature controlled hotel for good price . Central location. Would give 5 stars were it not for paper thin doors and being woken up at 9am every morning by cleaning crew in hallway. Them talking to each other all day opening and closing doors. No sound isolation what so ever. Almost as if they were talking to each other right next to your bed.

Top marks overall. Close to metro and convenient for walking. Terrific bakery on the corner where we had breakfast every morning. Self serve laundromat nearby. Clean and comfy. Check-in is on second floor but there is an elevator. Friendly and helpful staff. Recommended.
