Villa Doris Suites

Very disappointed. WiFi and phone not working half our stay. This block seemed empty and any facility for us to use was in another hotel 10 min up the road. View from the windows was of a large derelict building. When we mentioned our unhappiness we were told that we booked a land view. We found a large dead bug, squashed in our bed, the dish washer tray fell out. We were not offered a safe key although the safe could not be used. The tv remote didn’t not work.

Excellent spot with great service

Very spacious with only a couple of small maintenance issues that were largely insignificant. Large balcony but water collection in uneven spaces and shaded from mid morning onwards limited its use. Minor details that would have been helpful: oven gloves, place mats and coasters, scissors, kitchen hand towel. Also, not re-arranging the towels every day when we have elected to re-use them and would like to know which is which! Overall a lovely stay.

Great ocean view from the 6 th floor. Seeing the morning sunrise and walking along the dramatic coast were superlative.

The property itself was OK, but the hotel being connected to an old derelict building made the view from the balcony extremely unpleasant. The photos on Expedia conveniently cut out the derelict building, which was very misleading. In addition, the staff were not very helpful when we tried to change to the same level of room, but on a different floor. Also, the price they tried to charge for moving to a sea view room was unreasonably high, and I found out later on that the price was much higher than advertised on their website.

The location is nice, a few hundred meters from the beautiful beach. The amenities are not as nice, as the hotel is attached to an abandoned building and surrounded by less desirable property. The walls are a little thin (hearing sounds from other apartments) while furnishings are really top notch, nice. Staff were helpful and we enjoyed the stay at this property.

Lots of room in apartment. Very close to beach and not too far from town. Liked the beach towels and umbrellas.

The property itself is clean and comfortable. It is walking distance to the beach, but about a 10-15 minute walk/3 minute drive to the main area of Lagos. We arrived pretty late (around 9pm) and checkin at our building was not available so we had to go to the other building which was about 10 minute walk away/2 minute drive. The place didn’t have any water bottled water in the fridge, or coffee/tea, or snacks, but there’s a mini store up the street at the top of the hill that sells the common items. It has pots, pans, plates, cups, utensils, a lemon squeezer for some reason and more. If you’re considering renting a car, there’s plenty of parking around the building. Overall I would recommend this property. It has been the most comfortable during our two week trip across Europe.
