Lovely get away from it all location. Owners couldn’t have been more accommodating. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.

I would highly recommend this wonderful Inn to all! My partner and I had a delightful time; our room was extremely clean and beautifully presented, our breakfast was delicious, and the location was idyllic. The host, Matt, ensured that we had everything we needed for our very late check in and we felt right at home. Thank you again to the hosts - we will definitely return in the future!

Nice country pub on the edge of Dartmoor right next to Buckland Abby. Rooms are clean and in excellent condition, good food in the pub and friendly staff with plenty of parking. Recommended

Difficult lanes to get to the pub, very narrow & you have to reverse if someone is coming the other way. When I eventually saw somebody (15/20mins) was asked I got in. Booking said check in from 3 but they don't open until 6. I arrived about 5pm. Landlord very nice but locked up after I was shown to my room! Breakfast was not until 9, which did not say on the booking but they kindly made it for 8.15am. I was only person staying. There is no phone signal either which I didn't know. Could have done with a fan in the room as there was only a skylight for air. No opening windows even in the bathroom & it was a hot day.

Lovely Village Pub
Apart from not being able to get in until 6pm, this is a great place to stay. Friendly staff, lovely modern room and great service. They also have a lovely dog!

We booked at this Inn late in the day and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Olivia was very welcoming and she had a friendly and helpful young staff behind the bar and in the popular restaurant. The menu offers a combination of more expensive options alongside good traditional pub food. The choice of ales and beers on draught / wine list was also very good. The night we stayed, there was only a single table left in the restaurant so it is clearly popular with the locals and with good reason. Plenty of car parking too. The bedroom itself is clean and very comfortable, but not large. The bathroom was lovely with a good shower. There is a pretty stream that runs next to the Inn. I imagine it may be a bit tricky to get to in the depths of winter as the roads around it are extremely narrow. We had a tasty breakfast basket left outside our door as we were leaving before 9am. So, only two minor criticisms - cooked breakfast is only available from 9am which feels a little late and you have to check in after 6pm, which also feels a little late. A lovely stay which was fairly priced and I recommend without hesitation. Thank you to our hosts.
