It was a great location and very quiet untill guests moved in the next room. Seemed like no soundproofing and could hear their tv. Room looked nice but shower was a dribble and didn't stay hot, rooms need a bit of tlc.

This hotel is on a farm and is conveniently placed to enjoy Richmond itself and other small historic towns like Oatfield. Hobart is barely 30 minutes away and the roads are currently being improved. The hotel itself is a mixed bag. Our room was larger than the one we had booked being on two levels with a total of 7 beds and two bathrooms accessible!. The hotel has the feel of an old country house but everything is now feeling a little too relaxed and though superficially clean was due a deeper, more thorough clean. To be brutally honest it is beginning to stray beyond characterful and drift slowly into slightly tatty. The low power Led lighting and greeny blue and deep red colour scheme not helping at all. All of that said our room was well equipped and everything mostly worked although the plumbing made an astonishing racket when the shower was used. All of this needs to be considered against a very reasonable price for the area and genuinely helpful management.

Stayed in a newly built cottage style unit on the property & which was comfortable, however, contents/furniture was dated. I was a bit disappointed with the outlay of the bathroom.

Noisy neighbours upstairs as flooring creaked a lot. Bugs and Mossies in room as no fly screen door. Otherwise good

The attic room & the quaint feel of the property. The big comfy bed was great. Reception was like walking into another world.

We loved this place. As soon as the owner saw that our children were older, he upgraded us to his newly built 'cottage'. The kids loved it, and so did we. We could walk down to the orchard and pick apricots. There were dogs, chickens and horses. The whole place was a little crazy, quirky and wonderful. With a genuine kindness about it. Touches were missing, such as an extra mirror; hanging/storage space. But these are minor details, and were not important at all. We had dinner in the restaurant and all enjoyed it. Maybe not for everyone, but we loved it
