Element Miami International Airport

The hotel was nice and clean. The first night a small roach crawled on the ceiling of the bathroom, but saw no other bugs for the 3 day stay. We stayed on the 5th floor, nice view of the pool and lagoon. The kitchen was very nice. Pots, dinnerware, microwave and full size fridge. The window opens. Beds very comfortable. Due to COVID, no housekeeping service, but it is available 24/7 , just call the front desk. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. Location is good. Downtown is 15 minutes away. Make sure to purchase a toll pass Remember, its really close to the airport, so at times noisy. I highly recommend this hotel!

The room size is nice. However, there is really no breakfast provided but maybe a couple muffins and yogurt which is gone by 7am. The room I stayed in smelt like dog urine so I had to buy candles and room spray to try and mask the smell. They are not providing any room cleaning I guess due to COVID so trash piles up everywhere with no where to put it. They also give you limited towels and you have to ask for towels everyday. Most of these times they will not give hand towels or wash cloths. If you stay here because your having surgery do not tell them that. My husband mentioned surgery to a front desk person so he could get a wheelchair for me and they went off. The front desk person completely embarrassed him going in to detail if blood or anything got on anything in the room he would ensure my husband would have to lay for every last item touched in the room. My husband was shocked by the front desk response to this and confused as this seemed a bit extreme. After that happened we were both afraid to really touch anything in the room and made sure we purchased our own items and trashbags to cover everything as god forbid we accidentally stained something. Side note I would personally be really concerned for anyone who had surgery and then was bleeding all over everything as maybe they should go to the hospital.

They advertised 24 hours airport shuttle service. Apparently not the 24 hours in the day after midnight. Perhaps a more accurate statement might be 18 hour shuttle, or when we have a driver that can pick you up shuttle.

Close to Rental car center at MIA, convenient location.Hotel is a bit dated though

The rooms AC was not working properly. Always at 77. Not great when you are in the scorching heat of Miami. Engineering blamed it on our window blinds being left open. Brought us a fan that barely helped. The next day I asked to be moved to another room which when entered was also a hot sauna at 80 degrees. Waited for a bit to see if it would cool but nothing. Changed rooms yet again! This time we hit jackpot with a cold and refreshing 68 degrees. But had to downgrade to a smaller room in order for the AC to work.

Great hotel! I needed a place that would be comfortable and accommodating after my surgery and this hotel was great.
