Beautiful property, clean with pleasant helpful staff. While the property is gorgeous I felt the rooms were more style over substance where they lacked certain items I expect as standard - coffee, iron, hairdryer, decent lighting in bathroom etc. Saying that my bed was very comfortable and I slept well.

The unrelieved industrial concrete theme, the rocky start up of service, the hard bed and really useless LIGHTING made us happy we only booked two nights. The foyer/bar and barista bakery were very nice. This was an anniversary staycation from our home in Manhattan. I think it's more of a cool kid hotel. We are well travelled adults. I do not recommend staying.

If you are into minimalist, industrial, modern architecture this is your place. My only two complaints are the lack of parking in the vicinity and the fact that the half shower panel means that your bathroom floor gets soaked. Other than those minor quibbles, this is an amazing, quiet, comfortable place to stay in Brooklyn. I’ll be staying here again.

Appreciating that the property hasn't been open for a long time, I would have loved a microwave in my room and the ability to control the room temperature. Unfortunately, the thermostat was locked. Outside of that, the staff was very pleasant, and the rooms, while very minimalistic, were very nice and had the majority of the things I needed. For a hotel in BK, New York, the price was reasonable. I would stay again in the future.

Stayed one night, but overall a 5/5. Well renovated and upscale. Coffee in the lobby area was great as well. Staff were kind and helpful. Only two elevators though so during cleaning times it can get busy, but not a deal breaker at all. Will visit again next time I'm in Brooklyn.

This hotel has a lot of potential but it didn’t seem quite finished. The halls were long and cavernous, echoed quite a bit and had no light. It seemed like maybe they’re going to add artwork but hard to tell. The industrial chic vibe is well suited to the area, but feels like they need to add more finishing touches to the halls and rooms. We were on the 4th floor and experienced quite a bit of road noise. Common spaces are beautiful and staff were very helpful when various issues arose.

First off, the hotel was very modern and chic. It was my first time staying in a hotel in Brooklyn and I definitely feel like I picked a great one. My room was very spacious and clean. Although I only spent one night, I would definitely recommend Sela V.
