Dormy Inn Akihabara Hot Spring

We love Dormy Inn hotel chain and we often stay in their hotels while traveling in Japan. This particular Dormy Inn is quite small but very conveniently located very close to 2 train stations and it has small but lovely Onsen. We didn't get the breakfast as this hotel was quite small and didn't provide usual wide spread of Japanese buffet breakfast, but there are few convenient stores around and lots of inexpensive eateries. The hotel is pretty much just few steps from the main shopping street in Akihabara. We would definitely stay again.

Perfect location, food, and bath. Price is excellent, too.

I like the fact there was a rooftop onsen. This saved me the time from having to find one in town to relax in. The no-tattoo policy didn't bother me, as I had just one shoulder tattoo that nobody seemed to mind.

I enjoy the public bathing on the roof. It is very relaxing and I would go as often as possible. Having a laundry machine helped me only pack a few sets of clothes so my luggage was fairly small. The room was very spacious so it can fit two people comfortably.

This hotel has a typical Japanese tight room size meaning just enough space for the bed and bathroom. There was a refer, tv, desk, and chair too. We stored luggage on the desk and chair. They leave you a top and bottom to wear in the hotel as they have a hot spring common bath area that is great after a long flight or a long day of walking Tokyo. They have a choice of Japanese or a Western style breakfast. We had the Japanese and it was good. At 9:30 pm if you are up they serve ramen which is a plus. Staff speak english and gave us a map to find restaurants our first night. This hotel is near the Suehirocho subway station that goes from Asakusa to Shibuya, so very easy to get around. We really look for Dormy Inn properties in Tokyo.

The entite hotel staff was friendly and nice to me. I had a great time and the hotel was able to make my vacation go smoothly.

Close to subway, excellent free yakisoba noodles at night, great onsen, room larger than my room at APA BUT BED very small for 2 people. Quiet.

Pretty good! The onsen on the roof was pretty nice considering it's in the middle of a bustling city. This made a good base of operations while we explored akiba and other nearby neighborhoods of Tokyo. Room was a bit small, but was comfortable and well-kept, though there ... was definitely not any view out of the window at all, which was a bit challenging.

This hotel was super clean with English speaking, polite front desk. The amenities are great, close to Ueno park, and many activities close by. TThe onsen it's a plus, and also has laundry for free, although drying is 100 yen for 30 minutes. Their bed are firm and their pillows are thin. Free noodles at night if you opt out of room service for the day.
