Aristella Swissflair Hotel & Apartements

Great place to stay. Very central location allowed you to get anywhere in 10min walking. Lovely staff and friendly owners. We look forward to staying here again!

Absolutely nothing but positive things to say about this hotel & staff. My wife & I had a great stay at this property the week between Xmas & New Years, one of the busiest times in Zermatt, and everything was lovely. Staff & owners were very helpful with recommendations on everything from restaurants to apres ski. The restaurant in the hotel (Spycher) is incredible as well!

The hotel is fine but we expected more from the pictures. The carpet in our room was not in good condition.

Good service and friendly tips given on what to do for the day. The ride from the railway station to the hotel was much appreciated as we had 4 pieces of luggage to lug around. Good breakfast provided (eggs & pancakes prepared on the spot so that it arrives hot - very important during winter. Would strongly recommend this hotel.

Excellent hotel and location

It's 5-8 mins walk from the train station to the hotel depending how much luggage/bags you carry, up the slope a bit but still okay, but you could call to arrange free pickup if you know when you arrive at the train station. We booked the room which could see Mountain Matterhorn! We could see the golden sunrise of it! The room is very clean and big and comfortable. The hotel offers tea everyday from around 2-5pm that is very sweet and nice that you can take a break after the trip up to the mountain. The staff is very nice and helpful that make us have a wonderful stay!

We stayed in room 404, top floor with view of the Matterhorn. It looks just the the hotel’s website pictures. Very spacious room with a couch, chair and small coffee table. The balcony was large and had two deck chairs- fabulous spot to enjoy our in-room coffee and tea in the morning before heading down to breakfast or in the evening as the sun sets. Room has a separate shower stall and bathtub with handheld shower hose. Towels were large and soft and they also had face clothes which are rare in many European hotels. We were there during a heatwave so we did not use the hot tub or sauna that is on site. This hotel does not have A/C, but it was not even missed. Plenty of large windows to open and they have an inner lining of the curtains which keeps out any flies and keeps room cool. Hotel is conveniently located across from a staircase to the river, or you can walk up a gentle sloping road to reach them. We did not use their shuttle because we enjoyed the short walk to the train station. Hotel staff are super friendly and will assist you with all your needs in English if needed. Breakfast was a large assortment of standard European offerings but also had hot items. They will make you pancakes and omelets on request even. Their coffee machine was easy to use and had wonderful coffee, much better than the other hotels we stayed at In Switzerland! Our stay in Zermatt was a last minute decision but the hotel and city turned out to be the best part of our two weeks in Switzerland.

The hotel was excellently located, fairly even distance to the gondalas, easy reach to ski bus. The rooms were clean, staff very friendly and helpful, but most of all the best breakfast with fresh egg station. The only downside is that we opted for the economy double room - we booked the day before arriving so choices were limited. The room was so small, and for the price of the room it didn't represent great value in that respect. The were other hotels of similar, if not cheaper price that looked as though the rooms could have been at least four times the size. However, that aside overall we had a great stay.

Our very spacious, comfortable room had an excellent view of the Matterhorn, with all the mod cons including a lovely bathroom. The hotel is a short walk to the main street and shops and a short walk to the bus stop for the bus to ski lifts. Very comfortable

Everything about this hotel and its staff is top notch. We enjoyed every moment there, both amenities and service. It is very highly recommended!
