GHL Relax Hotel Sunrise

We stayed in this hotel Monday 20th- Friday 24th 2020) The hotel was really not good. We arrived around 3:30pm and check in was from 3pm. We was in a line for check in around 55minutes which was not good at all after a long trip. We was shown to a good size room, however it was damp and smelt like such. I was then horrified to find a full de humidifier in the room. There was also a stained mattress propped up by the door. There was a bed side draw with things left from the previous occupants which proves the room has not been cleaned properly. We asked to move rooms on three occasions and was told no further rooms were available. None of the windows opened so the smell of damp was unbearable Each time you enter the room. The toilet seat would not stay up so we had to rest it on our leg/back if we used the toilet. The safe also broke and a lot off the furniture was broke/stained. The staff was not helpful at all. The shower was not effective as hot/cold water seemed not to be adjusted. I cannot complain about the beach/ pool area that was nice but the room was really not good. Won’t be coming back

Our stay was wonderful, the staff were very accommodating and we were very happy with what we received for the price. We really enjoyed the location, the pools, view from our balcony room, great outdoor dj all day long, breakfast and dinner buffets were delicious; better then the food we found in the streets and local restaurants, we also took their signature pontoon tour and had a fantastic trip! The building is older and needs updating and some cleaning in areas but overall we had a great time and plan to return with friends and family in the future.

the hotel's lobby area is very pretty and they had live entertainment the second night we were there. The room we stayed at looked pretty worn out. Had broken tile flooring and the bathroom could needed some small repairs. overall it was good and a good value for the money we paid.

The private beach and the pool I enjoyed the stay. Just the employees don’t smile at the front desk and the cafeteria

My stay was very nice. The hotel has an amazing view. The hotel needs a little attention. It is in a centralized area which is good for walking

Pros: *spacious rooms * super friendly staff, with special thanks to Hector and Sandra at the Buffet. Both were very nice, along with all the waiting staff. By the 5th day one staff member responded, when I offered to give our room number, that she did not need it because we were "family". * The maid did an excellent job of cleaning: washing the tiled floor every day *very nice pool by the beach * dive facility next door, whose boat picks you up at the hotel's private dock * convenient location * cute little private beach, convenient for swimming in calm water * large balcony with beautiful ocean view Cons * general state of disrepair: broken tiles in bathroom, leaking ceiling in the closets which got all our clothes wet on the first day ( we had to remove everything from the closet and put a towel on the floor. It never got repaired our entire stay) *AC is too cold in the rooms, and you cannot regulate it, but if you ask, a maintenance person comes and closes half the vents, which solved it for us. * in the lobby, elevators etc... the surfaces look disgusting, full of smudges and fingerprints that never get cleaned, including the glass doors of the main entrance. * The buffet food is average at best, although it will feed you. Desserts are particularly bad ( REALLY bad). But it is cheap. *The Internet is very slow, when working at all. It is available only in the lobby, and it is OK to catch the occasional email, but do not expect to load a web page.

The hotel is very good, but air conditioning extremely cold. We called the reception desk and a guy came but he said he couldn’t do anything. People everywhere were complaining about the same. The check in was too slow. Breakfast was good.

It was a nice hotel in appearance and in a nice location with a close proximity to the airport. My family and I really enjoyed staying there despite a few detractors.

We wait for one hour to check in! It was so slow.. the condition of the hotel in general and the room is poor. You standing in line for breakfast and its not so good. The benefits of the hitel is the location and the balcony in the room.

The property is very good.. the staff is very nice but the security can be very rude sometimes.
