The hotel was difficult to find at night, a well lit parking space out front would help. The staff and breakfast were wonderful! Thanks for your hospitality!

The hotel is close to the river and public transport. The twin bedded room was a good size and well equipped. The cable TV had many channels including several UK ones. I liked having a kettle and fridge. The view from the room was over the internal yard,and was unattractive but it was quiet.

You had to keep the windows closed because of the noise at night. And it was very warm without the windows open

We had a wonderful stay and would especially like to express our gratitude to Patrick for his outstanding, helpful service in helping us find a lost cellphone in our room. We thought it was lost forever and with his experience we were overjoyed that he found it behind a table. The entire desk staff is very friendly and could answer all my our questions. We were also able to make arrangements to check in since we arrived after 11:00 pm and that was very much appreciated. We would and will recommend your hotel to others traveling to this area. The location was good for the University of Basel and other sights. However, it was very noisy in the evenings. The hotel was next door to the red light district which I wasn’t aware of but that wasn’t a problem.

Booked a room for three and got a great apartment with a full size kitchen. It was large and fairly modern. It was an 8 minute walk to the old town area- good location as long as you keep your bedroom window closed so you don’t hear the all night night chatter across the street where a few prostitutes appear to work. The neighborhood did seem fairly safe and clean for families though.

Good hotel and easy location for central and old town.

The hotel was overall nice and i'd go back again. I had a good view from my window, the lake / oldtown is close, and thay gave me a Basel-ticket which offers free public transport during my stay. There was mineral water, tea and instant coffee (even decaf) prepared in my room. There was also a mini-fridge, which can be handy if you wake up late (like I do) to have breakfast, but want to have probiotic yoghurt ready to start the day. I gave a neutral score for the local area, as after sunset the street behind the hotel was full of hookers and they follow you like zombies - it's not the hotel's fault though. Overall, I can recommend it, it has a good price/value ratio.
