Sakura Terrace

I would leave higher rate, but on 2nd day of our stay I noticed couple of cockroaches around the coffee machine in the lobby, Not cool at all !!!. Another issue was the breakfast, we arrived most days before 9am, but most of the main ingredients were very low, and when we asked for the person in charge he gave us attetude ( not Japanese hospitality at all ),and when we told the receptionist she kinda laughed it off, and said we should tell them what's missing and they'll make more. overseas trips and wait for breakfast to get ready ??? The bartender manager Mr. Irem and Thai Lady server Ms. BahanatPat ( not sure right spellin) were the best hosts. Stayed at this hotel before, and noticed the service was not as adequette as our past experience. Good location close to Kyoto station, and right next to the Shoji station is the best to go around Kyoto. Will saty again if the above issues are noticed by the hotel management.

What a great hotel, we were really impressed with the caring nature of the staff and the hospitality never ended. The hotel room was clean and functional. Alot smaller than what we expect from a first class hotel in the U.S. But the amenities and the bed were much better than we get even at the 5 star hotels in the U.S.!!! I hope to get the opportunity to come back and stay at the Sakura Terrace. 🙏❤️

Comfy and Accessible

Great location next to Kujo subway and a bus stop hence accessible to anywhere in Kyoto. Comfortable stay in the hotel. Deluxe rooms are big with a big bath compared to Jap hotels. breakfast spread is decent too. Free evening drinks take a cake. However the internet is massively slow. Overall nice staff and a nice comfy stay

Really nice concierges and incredible location with the Kujo subway right there and the main Kyoto train station about a 10 min walk. The complimentary drink was also a nice touch. However, the lobby is smoking so the whole hotel smells like cigarettes. The smell was faint in the room so it didn't bother us too much but just a heads up! :) Otherwise would recommend 10/10

Kyoto

Really nice spacious room, very nice having a free welcome drink in the evening. Next door to a subway station and a 10 minute walk to the station. A great place, really good value. Restaurants close by.

Good and room to improve.

1. Room has no coffee package. 2. Spa has no comb in male side. 3. Free drink is tasteless, only slightly bettsr than water. 4. Welcome drink is perfect. Piano play from sister hotel adds atmosphere to the dining hall. 5. Adding more japanese food such as salt fish, boil egg , would upgrade the breakfast from good to best. 6. Suggest to add a money exchange machine.

Good value hotel one with subway station right outside but easily walkable to the main rail station. Comfortable room but being non-smokers on a smoking floor was unpleasant! This must have been my mistake when booking but I would not have imagined the smoke smell to be so dominant; thankfully the room was provided with air freshener and I used plenty! Moving on, the hotel bar provides a free drink for guests each evening, along with reasonably-priced additional drinks and good value small meals. Nicely-mixed cocktails. Walkable (just) to Fushimi Inari shrine.
