Hotel 7 Vienna

Good enough for a very cheap price. It had that too much air freshener smell old hotels often have, but in compensation, the windows opened. There was a microwave but no fridge. However the hotel ice machine worked and I had brought a cooler. There was an electric kettle at breakfast— very good for filling thermoses. Staff were friendly. It was quiet. I saw guests with pets.

We wanted a quiet night at a low cost, which is what we got. However, noted shortfalls included pool being out of commission, minimal furniture in the room, minimal breakfast, smell of insect eradication chemicals in the lobby, and general cheapness of overall construction. The bed was good and we did sleep well, so not a bad experience, but we will probably not stay there again.

My fridge wasn’t working and one of the beds wasn’t made from the previous guest. Apparently this room was overlooked. The staff apologized multiple times and immediately fixed the situation with a new fridge and made the bed.

Never again

I think they need to put some of the money they make on the hotel back into their hotel. The next time we go down to the area again it will not be to Vienna 7

Drove in to a parking lot so untended it was more cracks than pavement and the lines were gone. Walked into the room after finally getting the key to work(heard other guests complaining about their keys not working and one door actually had a very old note taped to it about how to make it work)and almost no light worked because everything was unplugged. Couldn’t plug the lamp between beds in because there was a hole instead of an outlet. TV kept wanting to look for channels instead of display any, toilet backed up and required us to request a plunger because they don’t go into the rooms, lights flickered and one of the outlets looked like it had once caught on fire and had half melted. The soap in the shower was already opened and had been in water. One of the two shampoo packets(for two people for two nights) had already been unsuccessfully opened & required a knife. The water temperature adjuster was upside-down—what read as making it hotter was actually cooler; took a bit of scalding to figure that one out. For two women of average height the shower head was fine but a tall man would have had to duck. The toilet paper holder came half out of the wall every time toilet paper was wanted. Coffee maker wouldn’t turn on. Did have a microwave and mini-fridge, which wasn’t expected. Didn’t expect much for the price but the place really needs maintenance.
