The room we got was not clean when we first arrived. It was only a few minor things at first like dirt smudges in the shower and bathroom floor, toilet paper in the toilet, no shampoo, stains covering the couch, stains covering the office chair. The last straw was when we pulled the bed sheets back and there were crumbs. We called the front desk and they were going to send a manager up so we waited and nobody came. We had to go down to the front desk to get our own bedding and replace the sheets ourselves. We talked to the manager in the morning and he said he would adjust our rate but nothing was ever done. We had reservations for our return trip and he assured us he would inspect our room personally before we arrived. To their credit, we had a different room on our return trip and, except for the stained couch and office chair, everything was much cleaner. In the morning I asked a different manager about the rate adjustment and she looked into it and said that because we booked thru Expedia they couldn’t do anything to adjust the price. She did offer for us to take anything we liked from the “market” but that seemed strange so we just went on our way. Overall it was a nice hotel and a nice area and the free breakfast was good so I think the dirty room was an exception, but a little better service to make things right would have been appreciated.
