Thoroughly enjoyable stay. Loved the spa, definitely worth the extra charge. Can't fault the room, great view, big comfy bed, clean. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Lovely location, it is a little out of the town but nice and quiet and easy enough to get around by car

Short mid week break in the lakes

The hotel is situated at the side of the lake it has beautiful views and the staff are very friendly and helpful we arrived on the first day of opening after Covid the room we hadWas a good size but quite tired needs upgrading The price of the hotel does not include a cooked breakfast although you get a continental breakfast which was very good you also have to pay for the spa I would except paying for treatments to be extra but not the use of the poolAnd the Jacuzzi

Nice weekend before Lockdown 2

I went here with my partner for a birthday and requested some additions to the room, which they delivered with a thoughtful birthday card. The room was very comfortable, and the Lake view was lovely. Food was delicious for room service and dining in. I do agree that paying extra for a cooked breakfast is annoying, so we decided to go without. On the second night there was a minor leak from the roof, but staff were quick to get us a replacement, which was appreciated. Thank you!

Disappointed return guest

Have stayed in this hotel before and came back as I had been impressed before. The room was well outdated compared to others and looked nothing like any of the pictures on the website. The location of the room was also terrible as it was at the bottom Of the stairwell leading to the car park so had people walking up and down the stairs at all hours and banging the outside door. Room amenities- again disappointing. Shower was dingy, the coffee in the room was only decaf (was going to phone reception for regular but there was no phone!) As a regular solo traveller I don’t normally mind being out in a smaller than normal room But this felt like the dingiest they had, not great at the price I paid. The swimming pool facilities had also gone down since my visit 2 years ago. The showers in the changing room were dirty and littered with used wet towels. There was a large amount of black mould growing in both the shower room and changing area. Overall, I can’t fault the service from the staff and the food was outstanding. Not likely to return as a guest unfortunately

Nice hotel, extra charges are annoying

Hotel is nice, property is a little dated in certain aspects but a nice hotel all around. Service was good, only negative is the extra charges. The spa and breakfast should be included considering the price.

It did have a good lakeside location, but no facilities are nearby to eat or drink, unless driving to Bowness

Lovely hotel & stay, some surprising extra charges

Lovely hotel and location, good service. We thought it was unusual to have to pay extra for a cooked breakfast (£9.99 per person per day) when breakfast is included in the room rate. We were also surprised to learn on arrival that there is an extra charge for the spa - the fee is for the whole trip but there were no free times on the day we arrived.

Rooms are excellent with very comfortable beds and superb views.Location is very good but slightly isolated.Breakfast was adequate with very little choice.Staff were lovely friendly and helpful.The car park would possibly benefit from having marked out bays to prevent moron parking

Great hotel with lovely views and pool area

We have just come back from a 3 night break at the Beech Hill hotel (transfered from a cancelled week end in May) we had a lovely time here. The bedroom had been recently refurbed and was really nice with a balcony overlooking the lake. We have been here several times but not since the Spa and pool area had been upgraded we paid the extra to enjoy the spa (pool, hot tub. Sauna & steam room and think its was money well spent it must have cost a fortune to get it to the classy look it now has. We did not pay extra for a full english breakfast as the included coni breakfast was filling anyway. The whole hotel seems to have had a recent refurb new carpets etc and igs looking good All staff where very helpful and friendly (all wearing masks) We will bweback and recomend this hotel to everyone

I have stayed at the hotel previously and again our stay was enjoyable. All staff where polite - could pay more attention to your needs during breakfast but over all good. Its a little frustrating that rooms are not serviced during the stay but the current situation does need to be taken in to account.
