Royal Rattanakosin Hotel

Room 273 where we stayed was continuously disturb by a generator operating outside the Room, somewhere near the pool. Caused disturbance in sleeping especially when u wake up early mornings. Overall ok.

Definitely not a four star - very out dated-filthy carpets that smell. No coffee or tea making facilities - not even in public areas as stated - a coffee shop is in the foyer but you have to pay. Hot water via an old urn is available on a different floor. It's not what I expected via the pictures on here.

Everything great as usual. Breakfast is a bit tasteless.

It was okay except for 2 incidents (we stayed for 3 nights). Once we got cigarette smoke through the AC vents because some people were smoking at a party in an adjacent room, although smoking is forbidden. The staff was reluctant to do anything about it, but eventually gave us a different room after a lot of persuasion. Then in the second room we had a cockroach crawl out of the bathtub drain, but the staff was responsive and sent someone to kill it with a spray can. Also, WiFi was practically unusable, had to use the data on the phone. Other than that, the hotel was comfortable although old-fashioned, only the staff seemed not too friendly. Good location, close to many places of interest.

The service here was horrible I booked on hotel.com and my date was wrong. They couldn't work with me. Then the charged me alot. Theu manager and check in staff were the very rude Wifi was terrible. I asked if if they can refund me they told it's your problem.
