Hotel Casa Panamá

Wonderful place. Lovely owners and service. Small but comfortable. Loud at night because there is a rooftop bar and restaurant, which is also a plus for late-night drinks, dancing, and people watching. Perfectly located. The free morning breakfast (next door) was unbelievably good.

Great location and loved the balcony and the plants. Room had a fridge which was great as well. The breakfast offered in the restaurant next sorry was really good. The drawbacks were there wasn't much or any hot water and my room didn't get cleaned in 3 days because they apparently lost their extra key and couldn't access my room as a result.

The rooms are extremely small with little to no room to move around. The rooftop bar blasts music until 3am, making it impossible to sleep. The rooms don't have enough towels, blankets, or toilet paper. There is no way to contact the front desk to get more amenities. The wifi only works 2 feet away from reception and not in the room. The pipes leak and drip in the hallways.

Hotel was perfect for what we needed. Comfy bed, private bathroom, good air con. Rooftop was great too- could’ve done with more sun loungers but that’s not really an issue! Overall good stay.

The room had no privacy, huge windows facing into the courtyard/entrance/common areas with gaps in the curtains and no sound prevention. Could hear every single person walk past as well as being right underneath a nightclub so people coming and going until 3am

WANTING A HOTEL SUITABLE FOR A SOLO MALE TRAVELER FOR UNDER $100 PER NIGHT I HAD MODEST PLUS EXPECTATIONS. IT MET OR EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS. THE ASSOCIATED ROOFTOP RESTAURANT/BAR - LAZOTEA - WAS WONDERFUL. THE ASSOCIATED RESTAURANT - SANTA RITA - FOR MY INCLUDED BREAKFAST, WAS GREAT!! ALL THE RELATED STAFFS WERE FRIENDLY, RESPONSIVE, AND EFFICIENT.

Clean and comfortable. Staff was very accommodating and friendly, would certainly recommend as a place to stay if you want to be in the old town part of Panama

The location is nice, right on the edge of Casco Viejo. However, it is very noisy for the rooms with the balcony. Music from the rooftop restaurants blares until 3 am and there is no sound reduction from the balcony doors. Cabs are constantly honking their horns day and night and it sounds as if you're right on the street. The trash truck comes several times a week at 4 am. I'm used to sleeping with noise so I could deal with it. I know my wife, had she been with me, would not have dealt with it. The building has some issues. There are multiple leaks from the roof deck, mostly in the common areas and hallways. Hot water never got really hot. I never used the cold water side in the shower. Cleaning staff was great. They have same day laundry service which was very convenient for me. Wifi is spotty. Rooftop restaurant Lazotea is nice if a little pricey. Restaurant Santa Rita next to and under the hotel is very nice. The hotel paid for my breakfasts there.

Loved the contemporary remodel: stripped concrete and open ceilings. Since it's an old building, rooms are small; chances of getting a room with two double beds is unlikely, so don't pay extra for that; read the Expedia fine print. Good location on bay edge of the old part of the city. Helpful and friendly staff who speak English. But they really need to improve the wi-fi on the second floor.
