This hotel is reasonably new with clean spacious rooms but, judging from our experience, must still be in the "break-in" stage. Many problems, some dealing with safety.
1. The area around the pool is very slippery and dangerous for falls. I was walking slowly and cautiously, but still almost fell. My 4-year-old fell and hurt his knee.
2. Same issue with the shower. The floor tiles were same as the wall tiles, instead of non-slip.
3. The "do not disturb" lights are totally ignored by the staff.
4. The air conditioning is totally under-powered. In the morning with the sun hitting the windows in the summer, the room temperature rises to 28, with the thermostat set at 22. Keeping the drapes drawn helps, keeps it at 27.
5. Twice I needed my room key replaced, and the staff at the front desk never asked for any identification. This is a serious security issue. I asked the second time if my photo was on the staff member's computer screen, but was told "no" so the issue is real.
6. The sink in one bathroom had a defective stopper, which when closed would not open, unless pried up with a knife. The same sink had a slow dripping leak under the sink, but these were fixed within 24 hours.
7. The lower-level staff, delivering items to the room (other than room service) do not have a command of English. Typical example, one young man knocked on the door to deliver two ball-point pens to the room. We had not ordered them, so I tried to hand them back while saying we ...sorry, out of space
