The Viking Motel was a fine place to stay in Lindsborg. It was half the cost of the lovely Drom Sott, which is a completely different small, quaint hotel with Swedish breakfast downtown. The Viking was clean, convenient to town, and fairly priced. Don’t expect much for breakfast besides coffee and cold cereal or a cellophaned roll, but that’s not expected anyway. It’d be nice to have a coffee pot in the room like most motels do. We could have used another blanket on the beds, but when we realized that, it was too late to ask. We just cranked up the heat. It’s clean, it’s basic, it’s just fine. The liquor store is right next door 🙂 and so is Pizza Hut. But go downtown to the Ol Stuga for great sandwiches, burgers, and friendly service or to the Crown and Rye for a great meal or Sunday Brunch. And PIE.
