Luxury City River View Apartment

Worst stay experience ever!! We are a family of four with 2 toddlers and we travel extensively and have been to multiple places in Europe, Asia, US and never had such a bad experience. We reached Dublin at night and followed the instructions to the T, but useless apartment rental agency forgot to tell us about change in keys pick up. I spent over 45 minutes searching for the keys in a drop box on a street which they mentioned but later on, changed the street itself without informing us (all this time, my kids waited outside apartment complex in cold). Also, there was no hot water for full two days of our stay and internet & heating didn't work half the time. After repeatedly calling them, I got WhatsApp message of the guys that they can't take the calls. They didn't even fix hot water issue and didn't provide any service when so many things were not working at all. I should've stayed at a normal hotel, I only chose this place as it's closer to town center and kids got a little more space than a hotel room. Other than that, this place sucks and the management agency has no professional etiquettes and didn't provide any service at all. On top of all this, they charge additional 40 euros (not sure what for, when they didn't provide any service or basic amenities like hot water, heating). I should get my money back, but not sure if there is any way. Please stay away from this place. This has got 3.5 stars based on 4 ratings, I don't think it deserves even a single star.

Struggled finding the lock box, but a quick phone call sorted that out. The apartment was great. Lovely & clean. Recommended for business or leisure. Just a short walk from the city.

The location and price of this place were right, which is why I booked it. However, there are a number of reasons I would not recommend it. First, there is an extra $40 cleaning fee on top of the price, which they had me pay through another website (hotels.com tells you not to do this so I was nervous but I got the request while already on my trip and had no other place to stay so I felt I had to pay it—apparently it was legit). Second, from Hotels.com it is not clear who runs the rental and the only way to contact them is by calling Ireland (not convenient). I only learned who the rental company was when they emailed me to ask me to pay the cleaning fee, about 2 days before I arrived (I booked months in advance). They did not send me check in info until I called them, even after I paid the extra cleaning fee. When we arrived, the apartment did not have hot water and in the 2 days we were there they did not try very hard to help us to get hot water (admittedly I emailed them to let them know this rather than calling but it took 2 email exchanges for them to say, oh, there might be a switch or a pull string to turn on the boiler). There was no way to get out the gate to the apartment complex without a key (only 1 key), there were no instructions in the apartment to tell you how to operate the hot water or anything else (for example, the TV). Finally one “double” bed was more like a twin-and-a-half bed. I felt bad having my parents sleep in such a tiny bed.
