Henn na Hotel Tokyo Asakusabashi

Check in process was long because the robots weren't recognising the passport so a staff member had to come and sort it out. Also didn't like the fact if we wanted to leave our bags there after checking out you had to pay. No hotel I've ever stayed that has required that. The room was tiny and didn't even have a wardrobe, it instead had an unnecessary clothes refresher which was the size of a large fridge. Only benefit was how close it was to the station and Akhibara

I stayed one night at Henn Na Asakusabashi. It is conveniently located within a short walking distance from the subway station, and the area is very peaceful. Next door one can find a cozy izakaya that is open until quite late, and a few more steps down towards the river there is a 24h grocery store. The room is cramped (as you would expect) and has some quirks like phone operated services and a NEC cabin that refreshes your clothes in a blink. I was expecting a lot more from the robots: the only interaction with them was check-in and checkout, which was not as spectacular as I had expected. There are also robot fish and a couple of vending machines - and the possibility to do laundry when needed. Everything is clean and standard to your japanese style business hotel. So pretty good! Remember that before check-in time at 15.00 you can store your luggage only directly at the lobby (or by contacting the staff. There seems to be no way to check-in early.

The check-in process was extremely difficult, with the robot "staff" not functioning as intended, and with a distinct absence of the dinosaur. The robot fish were all "dead" within a day of staying there, which I'm sure wasn't intentional, considering I saw them swimming around the first night. The rooms weren't anything special, with no robot-themed features. The bed was rock hard. The gimmicks don't work, and aren't worth the cost or location.

Robots in check-in area were very cool but interactions only lasted a short time. Check-in area had lockable baggage storage which was very handy and we appreciated this. Also had drink vending machine, laundry and toilet which was convenient. Hotel is in a fantastic area, very close to stations and shops. We were expecting to have at least one robot in our room as per the photos online but did not have any in our room. Completely different room from advertised photo and extremely small. Mattresses very thin and uncomfortable. Dust on furniture and shower drain was filthy with hair and build up.

Small space but manages to have everything you need inside the room. Would go back!

Robots a novelty but had to ask human staff most questions.

Robots’ not working... these robots are useless. They don’t recognize English or Japanese... the little robot looked broken and did nothing. VR wasn’t so fun and didn’t function due to “update”... The gentleman was very nice, but the girl didn’t seem like she knew anything or willing to help. One robot fish was dead, another one was almost dead and two fish moving to push the dead ones...

Typical tiny room but well equipped. Excellent location a lot of restaurants&convenient stores plus its near the station. Breakfast is in an indian resto downstairs more choices in 711& family mart

Room was too small. There was not much space to move about. The water heater ran out of warm water halfway. Good thing is that the room came with clothes dryer.

Usually, the sound insulation of the hotel in japan is pretty bad but not this hotel. Recommend to light-sleeper.
