This is a great spot for business travelers. For tourists, there is no pool, but hey, the ocean is right there over at the restaurant. You need a car to get around from this location as it is not in the heart of the tourist district. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The only downside was the staff forgot my wake up call./

The new expanded hotel is a definite bargain and the location right by the beach is great. No pool though.

The Surfrider is known for their closeness to the beach, BUT what makes this hotel special is the staff. From the front desk, to the Custodian Manager, which checks your room and knows your name.. This is the perfect property. Even though it is not right in the tourist attraction area, its just a minutes drive. This hotel is more than accommodating, they are a “family” away from home. I have stayed here my last 3 visits to Saipan and would not dream of staying any where else. The new side of the hotel opened and I had the pleasure to stay on the 3rd floor. The new fitness room, vending machines, free coffee, free laundry room are amenities but the SERVICE is the best amenity. You have a problem, ask once, it is solved without hesitation. The guests’ needs come first and I pride myself in writing this review as the Surfrider hotel is my “Ohana.” Mahalo to each staff member, custodial worker, security guard for always making my stay feel like I am at home!!

The hotel staff was excellent. Incredibly friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. The location is unbeatable and loved the walk to the beach. The rooms were so clean and the beds incredible comfortable. I will stay here again next time I’m in Saipan!

Good find
Room is in great condition. Bakery, and restaurant with a beach bar on a great stretch of beach behind the hotel. The staff is wonderful. Good for business trips. The pricing point is a bit high considering the lack of amenities compared to other hotels but Saipan’s hotels are generally priced higher. Good find.

Best Value in Saipan
I spend a lot of time in Saipan for business. Surfrider is without a doubt the best overall value. The rooms are new, the beds are amazing, and the staff is great. Management is always eager to hear feedback and address any concerns. Sandy Beach is steps away from one of, if not, the nicest beach on the island. It lacks the hustle and bustle of the overpriced Garapan resorts, but a 12 minute drive is all it takes to find the busy tourist shopping and dining spots downtown.
