Hotel HSM Golden Playa

Myself, son and daughter (15&19) booked a triple room at GP and we had room 211 which is facing next doors hotel pool and the beach. It was a lovely big room with twin beds and a camp bed. The twins were very comfortable although the camp bed was very squeaky and not suitable for my son. The room had plenty of hanging space and cupboard space for three adults, a small fridge and a large mirror. The AC was very good. The balcony was large with table and chairs and a drying line. It was in the sun all morning. The bathroom was a good size too with a huge walk in shower, plenty of hot water at any time of the day and a powerful shower head. The hotel itself was only a 10 minute taxi ride from Palma airport and cost €20, it did not look very nice from the outside but once you got into the reception area it is light and airy and very minimal and modern. The reception staff were always really helpful especially Thomas who is a hive of knowledge. It is a quiet hotel, no bar scene at all, it was a shame as the bar area is beautiful and could benefit with some cool lounge music at least, but it was empty and dead. During the day there are loads of sun beds at whatever time you come down to get one and loads of umbrellas. The vibe is very relaxed and quiet, no music is played and there were very few children. There is a little hut by the pool filled to the brim with inflatables and beach umbrellas which I thought was a fab touch!

Liked the location. Food superb. Beds comfortable. Bathroom facilities good.

We are English but Expedia failed to warn us that the hotel would be 99% full of Germans. Therefore, we had no-one to speak to and make friends with, as people do on holiday, at the breakfast and dinner table. Also, all the food was German food, disgusting for a hotel which is welcoming English guests. We had paid for half board but the food was that bad that we ate out half the time! One of the things on your list of hotel amenities was not working, this was the jacussi, which my wife was very much looking forward to using. We asked several times at front desk when it would be repaired but on each occasion were told they were waiting for the engineer to come. Come the end of our week we were looking forward to coming home. Not what you would call a happy holiday.

The staff were so helpful and pleasant ,food was very good ,very clean hotel ,close to airport and Palma bus just outside the door so great for getting abou, overall a lovely hotel

Gute Umsetzung der Corona Maßnahmen. Leckeres Essen. Freundliches Personal. Das Hotel wirkte sehr steril,hatte keinen Charme und man hatte keine Lust abends im Hotel zu verweilen.

Udemærket hotel med god beliggenhed og skøn udsigt over bugten og havet. Dog manglede der lidt stemning i restaurant og ved poolområdet. Personalet var søde og hjælpsomme. Der var desværre ikke dagligt vand på værelset, strygejern eller minibar (muligvis pga. corona) Maden i restauranten/buffeten var flot og indbydende.
