ROOST East Market

Overall roost is a nice hotel with a great location and comfortable rooms.

The first apt was on the west side and was a lovely apartment but there was mechanical noise that greatly disturbed our sleep. The AC was also very loud. We switched to a upgraded apartment on the east side overlooking the pool. This was great with no noise and the AC was less noisy.

When we arrived they upgraded us to a Den apartment based on the availability. The apt was beautiful, clean, and had great views. Amazing location in the middle of everything. Would definitely return to stay here!

The apartment was clean to perfection, surrounded by many eateries, shopping is 1 block away and many stores to choose from.. high end to Target. The staff is helpful. Every kitchen appliance, dishes and silverware is included, washer/dryer, iron/board, wine opener, coffee. the room sizes are great. The 3rd floor deck is nice, didn't get to go to gym area . No issue with the residence that live there. Staff replenished towels upon request quickly. This place makes me never want to stay at a hotel again.

We had a really terrible experience at the hotel. To be clear, the hotel itself was good and our room is fine. But the staff at the hotel made us really uncomfortable. we arrived at the hotel around noon time and explained to the receptionist that we have a cat with us and see if they could let us check in earlier before 4 pm. The receptionist said she could help us to check. We waited three hours in the common area with no updates on our room status. When we finally went downstair and ask about our room again, the new receptionist, Amanda, told us that we need to wait longer. Given this is the COVID-19 period, we could give them the benefit of the doubts for safety concern to make guests check in later for cleaning etc. But we saw three other groups checked in before 4 pm right before us while we sitting in the lobby. We then had to believe they made no effort to accommodate our need to check in earlier or was intentionally ignoring us. We tried to complain to the manager at the lobby but she brushed us off as well. At this point, our cat hasn't been let out his cage for almost eight hours and we were pretty anxious. And after the time has passed 4 pm and with us sitting right there in the lobby. We still had to go to the receptionist twice to finally get our room keys. At this point, we were really angry. Overall, although the hotel quality was really quite good, we definitely won't return for another stay.

I rented a one bedroom apartment and it was fantastic. The place was clean, amenities were great and staff were also great. Parking got expensive, that was the only disappointment.

Great front desk staff. I had significant conflict with the booking agency about moving my dates due to the peak of COVID issue in April/May but the Roost management staff was excellent!! During this stay I had an issue and again the management staff was quick to resolve. If I ever need a hotel in Philly again I will certainly book with the Roost.

Property is beautifully furnished and equipped. Lovely rugs, comfortable beds, plenty of towels, nice hygiene products. The view of downtown Philly was wonderful. Plenty of nearby restaurants and shops For takeout during pandemic. Receptionist and maintenance staff helpful and responsive.
