"We loved our stay, the griunds ste OUTSTANDING & we had a fab talk with your gardener who is doing an excellent job. Your check in staff member was so welcoming & informative. He greeted us every time we passed by, checking all was well & always with a smile. He was working Monday so we couldnt thank him & say goodbye. The young man on the bar and serving breakfast was also outstanding so polite, helpful and interested. Again he wasnt in Monday morning for us to grab his name (BUT his friend had won a gold medal on Sunday). Please pass on our grateful thanks he is an asset to the team & will go far, excellent customer service. We were disappointed the jacuzzi wasnt working but that was our only disappointment in 3 nights at the hotel. Thank you for a lovely relaxing break & keep up the eco friendly efforts 👌"

"Stayed here for 1 night. The staff greeted us on arrival and check-in was swift and easy. We were shown to our room and all instructions given. There was a music event on all day which was a fantastic surprise. The atmosphere was brilliant. The food was fantastic on both days. Especially the Sunday roast which was cooked to perfection with the best gravy I have ever tasted. All of the staff were hard working, attentive and polite. But a special thanks to Nick and Ella who were especially helpful. We would definitely recommend Cromwells Tap House for a stay. We will definitely be back."

"A lovely place to stay with ample parking. Close to the hotel was some nice walks that you can go on. The room I stayed in looked newly furnished and clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The food; particularly the free breakfast had a wide range to choose from and was good quality. I would recommend this hotel."

"Fabulous period property with so much charm. There were only a handful of people staying, including me, which made for a very peaceful stay. I slept well, and the rooms had great amenities. I would say the rooms felt dated, but this adds to the charm of the property. The evening food was fantastic, and there was a good selection of drinks available. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Check-in and out was a breeze, and gave me a great history of the property, an overview of the surroundings, and all the information I needed without having to ask. Would certainly recommend this place. "

"The inn brought me home to Wales and was a shelter from a storm within a warm community. Dai will go above and beyond to care for his own and strangers. My room at the inn will carry memories, as I am sure is the experience for many. I could have won a walk up a mountain - another time. Thank you and your staff Dai:-)"

"We chose the hotel, as an overnight stop when we were visiting the area for the Canoeing across the Llangollen aqua duct. The room was clean quiet and comfortable. Continental breakfast available from 7:30 giving us plenty of time to join our Canoeing adventure. There’s a pleasant bar area and the restaurant had a good menu, the Sunday roasts were very good. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially giving us advice on alternative routes to Llangollen avoiding the steep narrow roads that sat navs direct you. Good news for dog owners is that it is dog friendly."

"We had a meal on the first night which was very good. Guinness pie with mash and an Angus burger. Food was served hot and was very tasty 😋 The room was clean and tidy with a big bathroom. One small issue was a loose toilet seat but it was sorted as soon as I reported it to reception. Overall a good 2 night stay. A cooked breakfast would have made the stay even better but there was a continental breakfast, fresh fruit, cereal, toast, yoghurt etc."
