I loved my 1 week stay here as a solo female traveller and felt very safe. The cottage was cute and comfortable with great air conditioning. I went grocery shopping on my way to the cottages upon arrival, and got the things I needed. The cottage supplied soap and body wash, but otherwise you will need to get or bring your own things like cooking oil, salt/pepper, other toiletries, etc. I left behind the things I bought in hopes that the next person can use them :) The property is beautiful with a pool, and they were doing some renovations to some of the cottages. There is a security guard in the evenings which made me feel safe. I walked to and from Dickenson Bay Beach nearly everyday. Keep in mind, there are no sidewalks and there can be some glass as the sides of the road, so just be careful :) It is a short walk to get there. It is uphill on the way back, so be prepared for some daily exercise, which I see as a plus! haha. Front desk can help you book excursions and taxis if you don’t rent a car. Nearby restaurants are Bayhouse (I took a taxi there although google says a 10 min walk, but it seemed quite uphill), and I always went to Tony’s beach bar, Ana’s on the beach, as well as Salt Plage or Starfish at Siboney beach club (I walked down the beach to all of these). There is an italian restaurant very close by, but it was closed for the season when I was there (looks great though!). I recommend to stay here if you don’t need an all-inclusive and/or are on a budget!
