Staff in general was attentive and polite at reception and room service. Location was decent and relatively close to many amenities. Walking distance to many places to visit.
The downsides…I expected Le Méridien, as a brand, to be more luxurious. The room furnishings were sub par. Tattered towels, burnt light shade, water stains on the ceiling, splintered wood vanity in bathroom, the most basic and cheap-looking carpet, and dirty WHITE bed frame were not details I ever expected of what I considered to be a reputable hotel brand. I even took pics cause I was surprised by the overall aesthetic.
The buffet that was offered in the hotel’s restaurant was a true disappointment on every level. It was over priced, the food was mediocre and the service basically non-existent.
I don’t think I’d necessarily recommend.
