Very nice - but some unexpected charges
This hotel was excellent. Clean, reasonably quiet, well-appointed, etc. However, my total bill was almost $100 higher than the rate I paid through hotels.com. I don't know if the issue was the daily $30 "amenity fee" or what, but as the hotel rate was already a bit over what my employer will reimburse me for, this is money that comes out of my pocket, and so is pretty annoying.

Good 6.0
Poor customer service
This hotel is lovely, however the service leaves something to be desired. They lost my reservation before I even got there; they had it starting a day late. They blamed it on Hotels.com (you never blame someone else in the hotel business, you fix the problem and apologize no matter what). It took a half hour to check in. They offered me a free drink but I was headed out to a business dinner so I asked for a breakfast. They begrudgingly accommodated after I had to say no to the drink several times. They now add a fee to your room and that gives you a daily credit for food and beverage, no matter if you can use it or not. That was their way to get people to use their restaurant/bar, which in the past was pretty empty. I would decline in the future. I was expecting a package upon arrival and when I called down from the room to guest services, they said they didn't have anything. I explained they could've put it aside for tomorrow since they had me in for the wrong dates. They said my package probably arrived too late and they couldn't find it but would send a bellman down to the receiving room to look. I called back a half hour later to find out what was happening and the guest services gentleman snapped at me and said they were looking. I took my pajamas off and got into some clothes and headed downstairs. They found it filed for arrivals the next day. Poor customer service!
