I don't blame theh hotel for the construction outside or the fact that the pool was damaged just before our stay. I just wish that the check-in desk had mentioned it so we were prepared and could have looked at alternatives. So disappointing to find the pool closed that evening when we had picked the hotel for the amazing pool. We were falsely told it would open the next day. Offered the option to share the neighboring hotels pool that was much too tiny to accomodate their own guests, much less Hilton's.
Construction began outside at 6am waking us up. And then the hotel began work on the remodel in the room JUST ABOVE us at 7am!!!! They could have put us in one of the many empty rooms available, which we finally were offered after going down to see about checking out so we could go elsewhere. Otherwise, the hotel is beautiful, well located, comfortable, well stocked. Hilton always provides a good stay and sleep. Communication and ensuring we weren't under a room that would be worked on first thing in the morning would have really helped us enjoy the weekend more. So this is more a service/management issue with the hotel that could easily be addressed.
