I have mixed feelings about this stay. The staff were genuinely kind, friendly, and helpful throughout our visit, and the location was excellent for exploring the area. Unfortunately, the renovations had a much bigger impact on our stay than we were led to expect. Before arriving, we were informed that there would be some dust and noise from work on the ground floor. In reality, the renovations seemed to affect every floor. There was constant loud construction noise, fresh paint throughout the building, and the stairwell was often blocked, leaving us to use a very small elevator. As someone who is claustrophobic, this was difficult, and being pregnant, I was also uncomfortable with the strong smell of fresh paint. We appreciated the advance notice, but we feel the extent of the renovations was significantly understated. Had we known how disruptive they would be, we would have chosen to stay elsewhere. In addition, although the location was convenient, the hotel itself was quite noisy at night, with sound carrying easily through the windows and walls. Overall, the wonderful staff were the highlight of our stay, but the ongoing renovations and noise made the experience much less enjoyable than we had anticipated.

I get the Parisian hotel rooms, small and minimalistic. But the hotel was very old, shower,toilet,carpet, elevator was very claustrophobic. We found a dirty mask behind the pouf. One of the pillows smelled like humidity.

didn't feel like a 4 star hotel

This hotel was rated as a 4* and the pictures made it look quite cute but it only meets a 3* IMO (which would be cheaper than what we paid). the room was tiny, there was ugly carpet on the floor and the decoration and quality of finishing wasn't that nice. The elevator is too small for 2 people and their suitcase, the shower door didn't close fully, and the shower head didn't stay on the holder)
