NH Ciudad was a good stay for me during my time in Valencia. The lobby area and cafeteria were very clean and well lit, the staff are very friendly, there is a fitness area. There are places in the area to rent bikes, grab a bite to eat, get a coffee, and is a 30 to 40 minute walk to the beach. My room, specially room 105, was ok. Decent sized room, served its purpose to rest and have a safe place to leave your items, but the room could use some Tender Love and Care. The room isnt the most modern room, the lighting is dull and dim, the floor by the desk and mini bar waa severely scratched up from the constant moving of the room's furniture in the past. The TV isnt a smart TV, so not connectivity to the phone (again this was my experience in room 105). The bathroom layout was not very safe. The bidet is right next to the bath tub and the bath tub does not have a sliding door, so I had to climb over the bidet to get into the bath tub. The space in the bathroom is poorly utilized and needs an uograde or an update. The tpilet is behind the door,, and when you open the door fully, it hits the toilet. The drop ceiling in the bathroom could use paint or replacing. The ceiling in the living space could use some plastering and sanding and a fresh coat of paint. The wall paper is outdated, and there really wasnt really any wall decor to spruce up the room. Its a good place to rest, but the inviting lobby gives you the feel of a modern touch, while the room felt stuck in the 1980s.
