OK Except the Scorpion in the Shower
Per many reviews, the location is good but the place is worn and dated.
Cleaning staff was consistently great. Other staff was either great or poor, depending on who you worked with. We had challenging travel due to weather, and they were flexible and accommodating - except for going dark during the day we we arrived and were trying to arrange a shuttle.
Only buffet food on site, but 3-5 good options along the beach. Breakfast buffet (included) was good with reasonable options - we did not try lunch or dinner as we we are vegan/pescatarian and there were no fish options.
Resort is not really on the beach, and shuttles were frequently hard to find - steep hills make walking a challenge unless you are up for it.
Oh - and we had a scorpion in our shower one day. Was small and curled up when I scooped it out of the shower - then realized what it was after tossing it outside and it opened up (!) (see pic). Staff seemed unconcerned as I had already taken care of it.
So - overall a mixed experience. Would definitely spend a bit more and stay true beachfront next time.
