This was the worst experience we’ve ever had traveling to a hotel. We travel with a working service dog who is clearly very well trained and for the sake of the public where’s all identifying uniform pieces. As soon as we walked in the door, we were accosted by the front desk. They refused to allow us further than the lobby, wanting and ID for our service dog. There is no such thing. We pleaded with them over and over, including calling management for them to read the ADA laws online. Telling them that their refusal of our entry was illegal. They were very nasty raising their voices at us. We were sitting calmly in the waiting area asking them to please inform themselves on the ADA laws again they still refused. We told them we were calling the police because this was illegal. They checked us out against our will and would not refund our money. Kept telling us that we need to leave the property. We told them that we hope their cameras work on the front desk because we were calm and respectful while they were yelling and very disrespectful. They charged us extra charges and could not give us a reason when we showed them our bank statement, nor would they give us a receipt to prove that they were refunding our money. We did reach out to hotels.com and they called the hotel to get them to refund our stay however we are still waiting on the hotel to refund the deposit and the random $166 charge that they could not explain other than they will return it. Mind you this is 1:30 AM.
