Check-in was more like what you expect at a hotel in the USA. Not the usual warm and welcoming check-in we have received at other hotels in Japan on our trip. This is a bare bones hotel, charges you even for a cup of coffee or to store your luggage while you do some last-minute shopping. This hotel is in serious need of a refresh; the carpet and walls are stained, old, and there is a less-than-pleasant odor. One room was clean, one room was not. No amenities are provided in the room, they are stacked up on tables in the lobby. No breakfast, although they have an outside vendor come in with grab-and-go options to purchase. We regretted our choice as soon as we walked into the lobby.
