A nice surprise!
When searching for lodging in Sedona, which is crazy expensive, I found this place with very reasonable prices and the right setup (2 bed/2 bath). But I couldn't get a grip on what to expect from the recent reviews: they seemed to range from excellent to terrible. So I'll leave a review that accurately depicts this place right now. It seems like there was a recent change of ownership or management. People discuss difficulties accessing their unit or contacting anyone for assistance. Earlier in the booking process, I did find poor response when both I and Hotels.com tried to reach the property to rectify an error. But as the trip came closer, suddenly everything seemed to be in good order; I talked to the management company folks more than once and received excellent and prompt cooperation and assistance. Whatever the issue was, I think it's resolved - for the better. This place is not luxe, but the units are nice, functional, clean, comfortable, and quiet. There's plenty of room for 4 or more folks to spread out and relax, and the views all around are amazing, with hikes just out the back door. Note that this Inn is not in Sedona proper but in Oak Creek, about 6 miles south. For us this was a "plus" - I liked the stunning drive each day as we went in to explore. The hot tub was easy to get into at nearly any hour. It was quiet and lovely and there were plenty of towels - all things I was warned about in the reviews. In short, this is a great place and I'll stay here again!

The ambiance was terrific, the bed was so comfy we wanted to take it home, the room was a perfect combo of efficient and beautiful, the porch wrapped it up!

2/10 Poor

Such a disappointment
Check in was difficult, 4 towels provided for 6 people, hideaway bed needed for the 5th and 6th guest broken and no notice given to us prior. Called the property twice with no call back during stay.

We stayed at the property previously when it was operated as a B&B. We missed that option. It was missed. Much more appealing property in past. The owners were great and guest interaction was great. While the current operation is ok, the property has become another hotel with nice guest suites. Its unfortunate but things change

The Adobe was a very quaint and well furnished room. The staff was very friendly and attentive. It was a pleasant change to the typical chain hotel experience. The outdoor patio views were spectacular of the mountains! We will definitely be back!!!

Horrible stay
It was horrible. No heat, very confusing check in, no one on site for all the issues we had with the room. I strongly recommend to stay away from Adobe Village Inn. We only stayed a couple hours before we had enough and left.

My wife and I placed reservations for a 2 night Friday to Sunday stay at this hotel. After arriving Friday night we entered the "check in" section of the hotel, where we were greeted by absolutely no one on site. We were told that room keys would be left for us that were nowhere to be found. After calling the phone number posted on the front door for assistance 3-4 times, a woman finally answered. She claimed to have no record of a reservation for us on file and said she would contact Expedia to square things away. After making occasional contact with us to give us updates over the course of 2 hours, she suddenly just disappears on us for about 30 minutes. We force contact once more, only to be told that we should have access to our room. Not once were we given any such information, nor were we given any sort of code to get into our room. I proceed to use the restroom upon entering and notice that the toilet paper holder has been ripped from the wall, leaving two large holes in the drywall with the holder nowhere to be found. Upon further inspection there was also some form of brown mold or potentially fecal matter randomly splattered on every wall of the water closet up to about knee height. After exiting to wash my hands, I noticed there was toothpaste that had been spit on the wall next to the sink. The toothpaste appeared to have been on the wall for potentially several days according to its visible texture. We promptly left the room after about 20 minutes inside.

The room was really good once I finally got in one. I had made reservations about two months about on expedia for a garden room. After arriving and looking for a room key and waiting to see someone that worked there I had finally called after waiting about an hour. Adobe tried putting blame on expedia which might've been true but after talking on the phone for about 20 minutes the woman on the phone(Who I wished I remembered her name she was very helpful) informed me that they had a villa room available so they put me in there which was an upgrade for no additional charge. Other than that headache the place was great, I will be back but booking direct to try and avoid any problems.

This property is ideally located for exploring the Sedona area. Great views from the balcony of the red rocks. No actual staff on the property but not an issue as long as you can manage the self-check in procedures and don't have any other concerns that would require some assistance.

We had a somewhat pleasant stay at Adobe Village Inn. The room was clean and in a convenient location. The selfcheck in process included a note mentioning a "room key". Our room and others had a code to get in, no key. The check in letter should be updated. We encountered other folks checking in with same confusion and we did our best to be the welcoming committee and let them know how to get in with no key. Parking designated with faded signs and someone used our spot one day leaving us with no place to park. There weren't enough outlets in the room, and also no air conditioning which made the room quite uncomfortable at times. I don't think we would stay at Adobe Village again.
