Rebranded 19th century facility
This is a very old motel with a deceivingly new facade. When you connect to the internet, it will tell you you're staying in the Marriot Bonvoy. It has surely been operated under several other names besides that over the years, or deteriorated at a remarkably fast rate; so fast, in fact, that it would have to be in the Guinness Book of World Records if that's the case.
Our room (Room 102) was a disaster. A 20 square foot section of the rug by the a/c was soaking wet. We were unable to contact anyone at the front desk to report the problem or request a change of room as the phone was busy for an hour when we called, and no one was there when we walked down. (No one was there the first 20 minutes we were trying to check out, either).
The shower/bathtub had a totally clogged drain so I took a shower soaking my feet in whatever crap came out of the depths of the hotel's plumbing system.
This is basically a 1 or 2 star hotel with wretched service, dirty, smelly rooms,, and a gigantic lobby with nothing in it but a part-time Starbucks masquerading as a hotel bistro. I'll give credit to woman who was preparing to open it the evening of our stay; she volunteered to work with the pre-prepared food and create something to our requests.
Do not pay more than $70 or $80 a night for this facility.
