10/10
This an older hotel and the styling is a bit dated. However, this did not take anything away from our wonderful experience.
We had a ground floor room facing the water front (about 10-15 feet from the window). There is a common patio between the room window and the waterfront (not accessible directly from the room).
Even when we could not go out, just looking out the window was so relaxing. Many guests were were there for fishing and you can see fishing boats leaving and coming back.
The breakfast was pretty basic (store bought muffins/Danishes, coffee, Juice) but available very early in the morning. They have good restaurants close by (an Irish/German one, and a Hibachi carryout, Wendy's, a subway, the hotel bar on the waterfront, a grill on the waterfront that you can see from your window), and a beach within a few minute's walk. Also, they are about a block away from the Jet Express station (with ferry to Put-in Bay ). During our time there, we visited attractions in Put-in bay (around 30-minutes by ferry), Sandusky (Around 30-minute drive), and Catawba Island (around 15-minute drive).
The hotel staff was hospitable and friendly. Overall, I would say that Arlington Inn provides great value, and if one is able to look beyond styling/aesthetics, is unmatched in what it offers in terms of views of the waterfront, and access to a wide range of recreational activities. We will stay there the next time we visit Port Clinton.
