I did not get the room type reserved; I mentioned it and they changed the room to what they said was better but still did not get the ocean view booked; and clearly they had rooms facing the direct ocean but did not put me in one, it should not be advertised as ocean view if there is no clear view of the ocean, it was my bday trip and I wanted and was expecting the best of everything and thought u was booking such, everyday I told my friend how let down I was, bc everyday something happened, I should not have to look around corners or major items to get jus a slither of a glance of ocean. Hotel outdated, need room up date, only staff that was extremely friendly and seemed happy to be working was the lady who passed out leis and Cynthia. They cleaned the room once a day and left only two washcloths a day, common trend is leave four everywhere else. Room service is a major let down, left special instructions that weren’t followed, when food arrived fries were cold, fish tasted like nothing, I sent it back. I requested laundry services and of course they did not come pick it up until after I called a second time hours later. The hotel is far from a lot of things so consider when staying. I would have preferred to stay closer to the city area, we were a hour drive from airport. I’ve stayed @ other ritz locations bf and those visits were my basis for going with ritz Maui. This was the biggest mistake I’ve made in booking a hotel. It has made me even rethink booking ritz again.
