Very misleading on booking websites.
This property DOES NOT have air con, according to reviews has not had working air con for a long time?
Lift not working, (reviews going back as far as May 2024 clearly document this).
I booked this accommodation as we have stayed here before and it was amazing.
I have mobility issues. Only informed that the lift was not working when we checked in?
NOT ACCEPTABLE!
We were on the 2nd floor, however, i really struggled, which totally spoilt our stay.
Could not get the air con to work, and due to post menopausal issues, i NEVER stay anywhere without air con.
I was informed, on calling reception,that the air con did not work, hence the Dyson (useless) fan.
I chose to stay here as my partner was going to a gig, and i wanted a hotel with onsite restaurant so that i didn't have to go out alone for dinner.
On having lunch in the restaurant, we were advised that there would not be any food available after 16.00?
Also, many items on the menu were 'unavailable?'
No coffee available at breakfast???
No long straws/ condiments available for a 'long' cocktail?
No fridge in the room, no complimentary bottles of water?
Light bulb constantly flickering in room, ( had to remove the bulb)
Very tired, grubby room.
Stains on the walls, bloodstain on the bedding, scratched and worn furniture, safe door would not close, ( when we removed the wedge of paper that was keeping it shut)
The only redeeming feature was the AMAZING staff!
