Easily the cuttest hotel in Rye. My partner and I got a 'cosy double' so our room was on the smaller side but still very warm, beautifully decorated and welcoming. Great to see that even the smallest space has been utilised, so the room offers all amenities of bigger rooms - except maybe a mini bar. The little lounge and breakfast areas are equally warm and beautifully decorated and the place even smells very nice. All staff were extremely polite, friendly and pleasant.
The only negative points would go to
• possibly the bed - the mattress is super soft - great for relaxing, but terrible to sleep on if suffering from back or neck pain.
• the pool room - the unbearable smell of damp in the room stopped us from using it. If this is the main reason for booking and paying the premium price (for the area), you might want to think again.
• the breakfast - we tried the full english breakfast, both meat and vegetarian options were quite blant and disappointing. The buffet selection was also very limited.
