I don’t usually leave reviews, but my experience at the Cactus Cove Hotel was disappointing enough that I feel compelled to warn others. The photos and descriptions online painted a completely different picture than what we actually encountered. What was advertised as a charming and comfortable stay turned out to be an old, dingy, and unkempt hotel.
From the moment we walked in, it was clear the place hadn’t been properly cleaned in a long time. The lobby had a musty smell, and the carpets looked like they hadn’t been vacuumed in weeks. Our room was even worse — dust on every surface, stains on the bedding, and a bathroom that felt like a health hazard. There was hair in the shower, grime on the floor, and the towels were threadbare and stained.
To make matters worse, the customer service was terrible. The front desk staff acted like we were inconveniencing them just by checking in. When we politely brought up the issues with the cleanliness of our room, they were dismissive and made no effort to address the situation. No apology, no offer to switch rooms, nothing.
This hotel may have been something decent in the past, but now it feels neglected and poorly managed. Save yourself the frustration — this place is not worth your time or money.
