Check the Hot Water!
I prefer to write good reviews, however, this is not one of them. The room rate was excellent, the room/hotel were clean, the bed was comfortable, and the breakfast was out early so we were able to get a bite before our 5:15am departure. BUT, the shower was lukewarm at best, at little above room temperature. After my wife and I both took showers around 4:30am, my wife mentioned to the desk clerk that the water did not get hot. He acknowledged that he was aware of an issue with the hot water in that area of the hotel and apologized and he gave us the hotel manager's name and number.
Once on the road, my wife called the manager and informed him of the issue and he said he'd investigate. He called back after a while and said that he checked out the shower and the water was fine, implying that we were either lying, or after nearly 60 years (each) of taking showers, we did not know how to operate the shower. Neither one of these is true. I don't believe he even spoke to the desk clerk to verify our complaint, or perhaps he did not believe him either. We stayed at this hotel in September 2024, in this very same room and everything was perfect, even the hot water.
Subsequently, my wife called Wyndham corporate and they apologized for the hotel manager's attitude and provided points to my Wyndham Rewards account. Because of that and the hotel's convenient location we'll return, but we'll check the hot water before going to bed.
Sometimes the customer is right.
