The interior design has a lot of charm, but that’s where it ends. This hotel is not accessible, I have a really bad back and got no help in bringing up my luggage up four flights of steep and narrow stairs. During checkout, absolutely no help even though I was physically struggling with two suitcases.
I don’t think I saw anyone working here smile once. The rooms do not have AC, and while it’s cool during most of the year, if you stay in a room on a higher floor it gets warm. I opened a window, but then flies from the trash out on the street fly in. The area is trashy, but convenient to nightlife, shopping, and nice cafes—equivalent to staying in any tourist trap. The rooms do not have enough outlets, so I had to unplug lights in order to charge anything…this could be solved by adding extension cords or adapters. The toilet seat was broken and the maid just took €5 euros I left on the desk, assuming it was a tip I suppose.
If you’re backpacking through, I would recommend this hotel; otherwise, I can’t recommend for longer stays.
